Vision and Values

Our vision at Hop Skip and Jump is simple: to continue providing the highest quality respite care for children and young adults with disabilities and SEN. We envisage a future with a Hop Skip and Jump on every high street, ensuring that everyone has access to the care that we provide.
The service that we offer is unique: no other organisation provides respite care on the same basis as we do; we are truly flexible and immediate. Our care is based upon the concept of space - space for you, space for your family: a space to breathe.
As respite care continues to be something available only to a lucky few, we aim to operate an “accessible to all” service, with care and facilities that are second to none, where children and adults can learn, develop and play in a safe and well supported environment.
We are an organisation that is constantly looking to expand and we are currently working on new projects in the north of England, the midlands and on the south coast. Over the last thirty years we have proven the success of our model and have continued to expand our organisation throughout the south west.
Continuing with the values we have stuck by for the last thirty years, our new centres will be based on the ethos that every child matters, focusing on what our children can do, not on what they cannot. We will continue to provide immediate, flexible and sustained respite care for children with disabilities and ensure that families around the country are provided for.
We know there are more families out there that we can help. With 1 in 10 people affected by some form of disability, we are committed to reaching out to these people and their families. Together we can make a very real difference in people’s lives and continue to provide the very best in respite care.
