Temporary Closure
It is with regret that we must announce the short term closure of our Brunel Centre Care in the High Street unit. Due to demand in our main Shaw centre, we have made the decision to temporarily close the high street premises to accommodate that need.
Users of the Care in the High Street unit are advised to contact the main centre on 01793 873098 or email Hollie Smart on [email protected] for more information or to arrange sessions in Shaw. The closure means that we are able to provide bigger and better services in Shaw and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the main site very soon.

Swindon Brunel Centre Launch
On Thursday October 23rd 2014, Elizabeth Hurley officially unveiled the UK’s first Care in the High Street project in Swindon’s Brunel Centre.
“This is the first Care in the High Street store anywhere in the world.
“We are hoping that one day we can have this sort of centre up and down the United Kingdom, to help children with disabilities and their families to have a bit of respite.
“It is just a wonderful place for people and I would encourage everybody to help raise funds for such a noble cause. It is wonderful to be part of a large but local organisation. Often people focus on global issues, but something like this in people’s own areas really needs supporting and always needs funding.”

Care in the High Street at The Brunel
Care in the High Street at The Brunel offers parents and carers the opportunity to have some short-term respite in the heart of Swindon town centre. Staffed by our fully-trained, professional staff, care is available for up to two hours at a time.
Our new centre features a fully-accessible wet room and changing facility, sensory room, soft play area and lots of fun activities for your child to enjoy. We also have a small charity shop, selling high-quality children’s toys and clothes at affordable prices.
Pop in and see us today for more information! We are located opposite Boswells Coffee and next to the House of Fraser store in The Brunel Centre. We look forward to meeting you at Hop Skip and Jump!
Centre Opening Hours
Hop Skip and Jump will be open at the Brunel Shopping Centre every day Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Sundays 10.30am to 3.30pm!
