The centre was officially unveiled by HS&J ambassador Louise Minchin on Wednesday 18th November with the help of Hop Skip and Jump founder trustees Clarissa Mitchell and Celia Carter, as well as David Whelan and Martin Ainscough, whose generous support has made the project a reality.
Mr Whelan, speaking at the launch, said that ‘Wigan is honoured and delighted to have you – Hop Skip and Jump fills a massive, massive gap’, whilst Louise Minchin praised the wonderful work of HS&J, saying ‘I have to read so much bad news; it’s wonderful to be here today talking about such good news!’
