A huge thank you to everyone who has supported our gal Steph in the London Marathon. She’s safely back in Dubai and has given us her take on the experience:
At last: race run, finish line crossed and job done! What an amazing experience — from the scenic route around London to the support of the crowds, the fancy dress costumes and the final iconic stretch along the Mall. Miles 18-23 were incredibly painful — not helped by being overtaken by Spiderman, the “Queen” (complete with a helium balloon of a corgi tied to HRH’s tiara and streaming out behind) and a running Tardis! But it was all worthwhile for the final few miles along the Embankment, through Parliament Square and along St James Park. Most importantly, the race was made so worthwhile and so meaningful by the enormous support from everyone who donated to Hop, Skip and Jump. Huge thanks to all of you for making this such a special event and for giving so generously to HS&J.
